Greatbows
3rd-level feature
When you pick this barbarian path at 3rd level, you become proficient with a special type of ranged weapon called a Greatbow. This is a martial weapon with the Heavy, Special and Two-Handed property that deals 1d12 piercing damage on a hit, has a range of 150/600, and must use your Strength modifier for the attack and damage rolls. A greatbow uses arrows as ammunition. To utilize this weapon properly the user must have a Strength score of 15 or higher.
Attack made with Greatbows while raging deal the additional Rage Damage as if it was a melee weapon attack. When you use the Reckless Attack feature while making ranged weapon attacks using shortbows, longbows, or greatbows instead of granting advantage to the attack roll you instead deal additional damage against targets equal to your proficiency bonus.
Additionally, this weapon may be utilized in Melee, dealing 2d6 bludgeoning damage on a hit.
During a long rest you may craft a Greatbow if you spend 6 hours constructing it and you have the proper materials. The required materials for crafting a great bow are:
A Knife, Dagger, or other form of woodworking tool
A piece of strong, dry hardwood or a similar material for the bow
Rawhide, Hemp cord, or a similar material for constructing the bowstring
Armor Piercer
6th-level feature
While Raging any attack you make with a Greatbow against a target within 60ft you may add a number to your attack rolls equal to your bonus rage damage.
Your ranged Weapon Attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks.
Overdraw
10th-level feature
Pulling the drawstring back past its usual limit, you achieve an even more disastrous impact when your arrows find its quarry. Attacks you make with Greatbows within 60 ft score criticals on a 19 or 20
Bloodthirsty Volley
14th-level feature
When taking the attack action if you reduce a creature to 0 hit points or score a critical hit you make one additional attack using a shortbow, longbow, or greatbow as apart of that same action. This effect can be triggers once per turn.
